How do I properly care for and wash a rope collar or rope leash? Rope is extremely uncomplicated and easy to care for. If your leash or collar has become really dirty during an adventure in the mud, you have great cleaning options: - Machine washable: You can easily clean pure rope products (without leather elements) in the washing machine. Use a laundry bag and wash the accessories at a maximum of 30°C on a gentle cycle. Remove all tags beforehand. - Hand washing for special items: For the twisted “Twisted” ropes as well as products with leather elements, I recommend gentle hand washing with mild soap only. With leather-mix products, make sure that the leather does not get wet. - Drying properly: Simply let your Rudelwohl items dry in the air. Please do not use a tumble dryer and never place the products on a radiator or in direct sunlight. Care for carabiners & fittings: To guarantee longevity, you should regularly care for the carabiners - especially after washing - with a drop of oil (e.g. Ballistol or WD-40). For adventures in salt water, please be sure to choose the rustproof stainless-steel fittings. Which rope design suits your everyday life?
